The perennial favourites of air shows the world over, The Red Arrows nine aircraft display on both days of the 2025 Ayr Airshow. The world’s most spectacular and exciting flying team have entertained millions of spectators over the years and will wow the crowds once again with a spectacular display over both days. RAF Eurofighter Typhoon FGR Mk4 (Fighter Ground attack Reconnaissance)
State of the art military aircraft technology at Ayr Air show with the RAF Typhoon displaying its cutting edge capabilities, the worlds most agile aircraft. Witness an elite RAF front line squadron in action.

RAF Grob Tutor.
The Grob 115E Tutor T Mk1 is used by the UK Armed Services for Elementary Flying Training and pilot grading. It is well-suited for training and grading missions.
The Grob 115E, known as the Tutor T Mk1 by the RAF, is used by the Army, Navy, and Air Force for elementary flying training and to assess future pilots. It is also used by 15 University Air Squadrons and 13 Air Experience Flights across the UK to teach university students and offer flying experiences to Air Cadets. RAF Grob T1 website.
Royal Navy Merlin Helicopter
A Royal Navy Merlin from 814 Naval Air Squadron will take to the skies above Ayr shorefront on Saturday 6 September 2025 for a thrilling aerial display that is a joy to all.
814 Squadron are based at Royal Naval Air Station (RNAS) Culdrose and are nicknamed the “Flying Tigers” due to a fierce tiger motif that they have on the nose of their aircraft.
Locals may be familiar with the Merlin Mk 2 helicopter, with its five blade rotors and distinctive sound, as it also operates from RNAS Gannet at Prestwick Airport and can often be seen in the South Ayrshire skies.

The French aerobatic team known as Équipe de Voltige de l’Armée de l’Air (EVAA) will perform complex manoeuvres in their Extra EA-330SC high performance aircraft in the skies above Ayr shorefront.
RAF Falcons Parachute display team
The Falcons are the UK’s premier military parachute display team, based at RAF Brize Norton, Oxfordshire, they display at venues all over Britain and Europe throughout the year. They have performed many times for the Royal Family and heads of state and set records and introduced many exciting innovations into formation skydiving.
The Royal Air Force is responsible for training and supporting all UK Airborne Forces. As well as providing a distinctive demonstration of freefall and canopy skills during the display season, each Falcons Team member undertakes continual advanced training as Parachute Jumping Instructors in preparation for future employment in support of the Parachute Regiment, the Royal Marines and other specialist units.
The RAF Falcons Parachute Display Team is the only centrally funded, professional, military parachute display team in the UK. Their exciting free fall display, which includes advanced manoeuvres, falling at speeds up to 120mph, and their famous 'hybrid' display which includes the Heart and Crisscross Carousel, which manages to captivate all spectators.
